Glossop were not re-elected to the league
The Football League was suspended after the 1914/15 season due to the outbreak of World War I.
Before the League recommenced (1919/20 season) it was decided that the First and Second Division would both increase to 22 clubs.
Chelsea were not relegated from Division One and Arsenal were elected the 2nd extra position. This left four vacant places in Division Two. Eight non-league clubs took part in the election for the four places.
